If 5X does not run properly because of incompatibilities with Windows XP/NT/2K, you can still play the game by turning the sound off. This is done by passing the program the argument "NOSOUND". To have the program automatically run in NOSOUND mode at all times, right click on your 5X program icon, select PROPERTIES, then click on the PROGRAM tab*. Add NOSOUND to the Cmd Line: field, then press OK. 5X will now run in quiet mode, which is compatible with all versions of Windows. *If you don't see a PROGRAM tab, you are probably viewing a shortcut. click on the "FIND TARGET" button to locate 5X.EXE, then right click on 5X.EXE and go to PROPERTIES
